A big, untold story: online videos of Jews explaining why they believe Jesus is the Messiah1/12/2017 With so much bad news in the U.S., Israel, Russia and around the world these days, I thought it might be good to kick off 2017 with some very good news.
Here, then, is an update to a column I published on September 22, 2015 about “a big, untold story” that “the media isn’t reporting” but is very much “worth examining.”

Source: NAYCRUMORS As millions of Christians flee the Middle East and Christianity’s original homeland becomes lacking of Christians at increasing rates, an odd anomaly is occurring: Christianity in the Gulf states is surging. Amid a shocking exodus in neighbouring countries, this strictly Islamic region has seen a jump in its Christian population.

By: Adrianne Haney, WXIA LAGRANGE, Ga. -- When school is out for the summer months, it’s easy to understand how kids can get bored and look for things to keep them occupied. But for one local official, the reason behind a group of teens seeking out a way to stay busy made a big impact. On July 27, head of the LaGrange Housing Authority Zsa Zsa Heard was working in her office, as she has for the last two years, when she was approached by four young teens asking for jobs. By: Andrea Blanford DURHAM (WTVD) -- Coming up from the water in his red Durham County Detention jumpsuit, a smile fell across the face of an inmate just baptized. Shouts of praise by a group of chaplains and applause from nearby detention staff briefly drowned out the sound of worship music playing through a speaker. As the inmate wiped water from his head and climbs out of the above ground swimming pool brought in just for this moment, Sheriff Mike Andrews was there to greet him with a handshake and a small Bible. It's a scene never played out before at the Durham County jail, but on Sunday, Andrews arranged for 39 inmates, who asked to be baptized by immersion, to do so. By J.D. King The churning, tempestuous world looks remarkably different than many imagine. This is undoubtedly true if you're an average American. In the darkest corners of the Middle-East there’s a revival beginning that's unprecedented in the history of world missions. I've previously reflected on it hereand here, but I wanted to take this amazing story further than before. Source: Gospel Herald
By:Leah Marieann Klett In an amazing story of redemption and hope, an Islamic State militant who sought to kill Christian missionaries providing aid to those displaced by the terrorist group ended up surrendering his life to Christ after hearing the Gospel and witnessing the love of the believers. According to a report from Christian Aid Mission, a humanitarian group that assists indigenous Christian workers in their native countries, the jihadist fighter traveled to Amman, Jordan after learning that relatives there were receiving aid from Christians, who he viewed as unclean "pigs". The Muslim, whose name is withheld for security reasons, went to a Christian meeting with the intention of killing the aid workers gathered there, the director of a ministry in the Middle East told the organization. However, something kept him from following through on his plan, and that night, Jesus revealed Himself in a dream. "The next day he came back and said, 'I came to kill you, but last night I saw Jesus, and I want to know what are you teaching - who is this One who held me up from killing you?'" the director said. The missionaries were able to share the Gospel with the militant, and, after witnessing the love and compassion of the believers, the fighter surrendered his life to Christ! |
